In addition to the application requirements for admission to the Hawaii College of Oriental Medicine program, all non-U.S. citizens, non-permanent resident (individual green card holder) must provide with their application the following:

1. Official college transcripts are to be sent directly from the transferring college to HICOM and to an international credential evaluation service (see information below).

2. Documented evidence of financial resources that will cover all educational and living costs without working for the entire four years of the program .

3. A copy of your current I-94 visa .

4. A copy of your foreign national passport including photo.

Once you have submitted this paperwork and are accepted into the Master of Science in Oriental Medicine program, we will issue a Form I-20. This is part of the documentation you must furnish to your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate to receive your F-1 student visa. A student visa is issued once for the entire course of study.

International College Course Transcripts
Applicants who have completed college courses outside the country of the United States must have their official transcripts / documents evaluated to the standards of the United States accredited equivalency.
国際大学コース成績証明書：米国以外で大学課程を履修している出願者は、米国の同等の認定審査に適合する正式な成績証明書が必要です。
All translation and evaluation must clearly state number of hours and the number of credits of study. College courses considered for transferable credit must meet the education level of a U.S. accredited college equivalent to at least 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits.
翻訳された成績証明書などには履修時間と単位数が明記されていなければなりません。単位移行が可能と考えられる大学課程コースは、米国大学認定単位の少なくても６０学期単位あるいは９０四半期単位に見合っていなければなりません。
The provided service must provide certified documentation and credentials to translate official transcript/documents. The applicant is responsible for all fees incurred by the evaluating agency providing the report. After receiving the evaluation report, the Admissions Committee at the Hawaii College of Oriental Medicine, will make a final determination regarding the acceptance of such education for admission to the program and for any acceptable transfer credit. A proficiency examination may also be required in courses for which equivalency credit is being given. A list of agencies approved to give such reports is listed at: http://www.naces.org .
