DIFFERENT STATE REQUIREMENTS
Licensure requirements vary widely from state to state.
Any student considering a practice outside the state of Hawaii should refer to Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Laws (National Acupuncture Foundation, Washington, DC, (202) 332-5794) to determine other states’ requirements.
This is particularly applicable to prior learning assessment credits that may be accepted at HICOM and in Hawaii for licensing, but not accepted in other states.
